It’s been a pretty rough time for me here in college. It stared out in fourth year college when I couldn’t go to school for the first time because we had no money for tuition. The only sibling who could probably support me had just gotten married and pregnant, so good luck with that.
My sister had to borrow money from her husband, my mom had to borrow money from a friend, but that still wasn’t enough. My brother had to call our aunt from abroad to borrow money for my tuition. I guess that was pretty embarrassing for them to ask that kind of help.
I was devastated on the first day of school. The first time I couldn’t go to school because of money. I watched Oprah help a number of kids get proper education. I didn’t know if that was a slap in the face or what, but it made me feel worse.
