The thing with internet cafés is that they’re not the most suitable places to do any serious work. Here’s why:

1. Earsplitting noise from gamers who trash-talk their opponents while they’re in the shop. Really… A little consideration please?
2. Viruses, worms, malware, spyware, name it they have it. If you’re lucky, say goodbye to the files in your flash disk. There are only two computer shops that I know of that have updated virus scanners, there’s the Merville Business Center and this place in one of Evangelista’s alleys.
3. Uncomfortable chairs, however, there’s this one internet café in SM Bicutan, Cyberzone, I think. They have these big ass chairs with cushions, like a chair-type sofa. It’s cool.
4. There was this one woman who was two or three seats away once, she was laughing so hard and talking so loud in her ear-piercing voice.
5. Un-maintained equipment. Headset parts are missing, mice malfunctioning, screwed up monitors, USB drives…
