When I was in high school, the only machine I had to use was my sister’s old iBuddy4 laptop, Pentium 4, 256 RAM, Windows 98. It was fine at the time, it got me through. The only problem was printing requirements.
It malfunctioned after a while, so I had to have it formatted when I started college. I enjoyed Windows XP for a while, until one fateful day, the laptop started to turn off all of a sudden. The jack of the power cable was burning. There was no hope for the laptop. We tried to change the jack, but the laptop was burning the rubber. So it was diagnosed to have a malfunctioning power supply. Too expensive, we just let the issue die.
For three years, I got through college, much more, OrgCom, without internet and a computer at home. I’m proud of that, but it was pretty hard.
